My Christmas Card for 2008

Try not to judge me but I just love polka dots. They actually make me happy! I love in Heritage Makers studio that if they don't have what you want, you can make it. I actually put each and every one of these dots in their place.

My 16x20 Stretched Canvas

I made this to hang in my bedroom to help me with having sweet dreams. Life isn't always what we expect it to be but even when heartbroken, its important to remember the love, passion, and laughter that "sweet dreams" are mad of. I used the pictures that my "sweet dreams" are made of as the border; such as places I have been, place I want to go, the people that matter to me most, the things that I am passionate about. What better to put on my wall?!

Giving Thanks

I'm thrilled to be hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house this year. I haven't been home for Thanksgiving in SIX years. It is going to be so much fun! When I started thinking about what to do for table decorations, my mind went immediately to Thank You-place cards. While life doesn't always work out the way I expect it to, I have so many wonderful people in my life that deserve a thank you! Here is the card for my wonderful Gram-gram.

Twilight Themed 12x12

I will first say that maybe, post breakup, its not the best idea to use my "so in love" schmoopy projects. But this is just too cool not to share. I am so thrilled that studio supports .PNG files. I actually already had some of this art that I got online for free and just had to use if for my "My Very Own Edward" page so I uploaded the art just like I would a picture. Another cool trick I used on this page is that I created the brightness of the moon by using the same sized circle behind the moon and then increased the "Blur."

The Wonderful World of Playing Cards

I am so excited about all the different ways I can use the deck of cards from Heritage Makers. I had a blast with this project. I can't wait to make my Christmas gift tags and Look forward to the next opportunity to make invitations.
I am keeping both the card of Kenna at 2 and the tribute to my Grandpa in my wallet with me. I also just love how cute Kenna's Pink Tutu Mini Album turned out. I glued the backs of the cards together to make the album flow better. Then for a special little touch I snipped a few pieces of the tulle from Kenna's tutu (ssshhhhh...don't tell!) and tucked it here and there between the cards.

Nissa and I are putting together a great list of all the things these decks of card can be used for. I will be honest, some of these ideas I "Scrap-lifted" from my fellow consultants, but with such good ideas floating around its hard not to.

Here is a little preview

10 Things I Love About You Project

My latest Heritage Makers project is so cute. I am making a 12x12 book for McKenna. The title of the book is 10 Things I Love About You. I want kenna to have a book that she can look at everyday and know just some of the things that make her so special. She is such a special gift in my life. Here is # 3 on my list. I truely love her adventurous spirit. Sometimes it seems like she has no fear and she wants to understand everything about this world. It is so fun watching her learn and grow.

All You Need is Love

I will never forget our trip to Treasure Island Florida. It was beautiful and magical in so many ways. I got to thinking on several of my long walks along the beach with Ian, that this place wouldn't be nearly as magical or beautiful if it weren't for being with him. Sometimes, having his love, makes even doing the dishes beautiful and magical.
The Beatles were oh so wise when they wrote their song All You Need Is Love.
This was my First Florida project. I just loved this picture of us together so on my lunch hour I open up a blank 12x12 project and went to work. I love the colors, texture, and the symbolism with the puzzle pieces.

The Best Father's Day Gift

New Orleans is quite the city!!! I loved everything: the history rich city, the craziness of Bourbon Street, and especially the FOOD. I can't go wait to go back.
NOTE TO SELF: Remember to NEVER, EVER, book a hotel room with a balocony overlooking Boubon Street again. It was great for people watching but reaks havoc on sleep.

I made this book for my Dad for Fathers Day. I was thrilled by his reaction. He said "WOW! Sweetie." I don't get too many wow's from him when it comes to sentimental things so I was very happy to know he really liked it.

Chris and Nikki's Wedding Sign-in Book

I had so much fun making this 8x8 book for Nikki and Chris. My favorite is page 9 with them both dandling their feet off the little dock.
